Comments

"North side top" is noted on p. 136 of the original burial register. Other information was provided to SMK by Patricia Holsworth on June 30, 2001. The mausoleum, or vault, is built of sandstone blocks; the roof and base are granite slabs. The building is 128 inches deep. The door and a small window in the rear wall have been bricked up and cemented over, so no information on the inscriptions inside is available. The door is flanked by granite vases, 19 inches high and 17 inches wide, which rest on sandstone-block bases, 30 inches high and 22 inches wide. According to Carol Zavodsky, widow of longtime Westwood sexton Frank Zavodsky, the door was bricked up and cemented over "because the vault was full."
