Biographical Information

Born in Lincoln, England. According to Burton W. Nesbitt, volunteer Lorain County coordinator for the National Graves Registration Project of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, he served as a private in Co. D. of the 85th Ohio Infantry, enlisted on 6/6/1862, and was discharged on 9/23/1862, "mustered out with company"; the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System database, <http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm>, includes no "A. H. Brice" but does include a "Henry Brice" who served as a private in Co. D. of the 85th Ohio Infantry.
