I of the 27th Connecticut Infantry but does not give his rank or dates of service; according to the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System database, <http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm>, he enlisted as a "2 Sgt" and was discharged as a "Sgt."
