Biographical Information
According to Burton W. Nesbitt, volunteer Lorain County coordinator for the National Graves Registration Project of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, he served as a corporal in Co. C of the 7th Ohio Infantry, enlisted on 6/20/1861, and was discharged on 7/6/1864; "WIA (wounded in action) at Battle of Cross Lanes Va. 26 Aug. 1861. Also at Battle of Chancellorsville, Va. 3 May, 1863. Mustered out with company."
