Biographical Information

Born in Ireland. According to Burton W. Nesbitt, volunteer Lorain County coordinator for the National Graves Registration Project of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, he served as a private in Co. H of the 2nd Ohio Cavalry, enlisted on 8/25/1861, and was discharged on 5/21/1862, "on surgeon's certificate of disability."
