Biographical Information
A brief biography in William E. Bigglestone, They Stopped in Oberlin; Black Residents and Visitors of the Nineteenth Century (Scottsdale, AZ: Innovation Group, 1981). Harriet is a naming error in the original city records. In Census records and the obituary published in 1908 she is identified as Henrietta. Due to the name error, this record was previously misidentified as another family relative and has since been corrected.
