Biographical Information
According to Burton W. Nesbitt, volunteer Lorain County coordinator for the National Graves Registration Project of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, he served as a sergeant in Co. H of the 7th Ohio Infantry, enlisted on 9/9/1861, and was "appt'd to Cpl. then to Sgt. Promo to non-commissioned staff 1 July 1865. Veteran."
