Biographical Information

According to Burton W. Nesbitt, volunteer Lorain County coordinator for the National Graves Registration Project of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, he served as a private in Co. C of the 7th Ohio Infantry, enlisted on 6/20/1861, and was "WIA (wounded in action) and captured at Battle of Port Republic 9 June, 1862. Died in rebel prison."
